A Conversation

Mommy is cookig dinner and yakking with Katherine. Both kids are being perfect and quiet. I hang up and turn around to this:



Me: Lucy, did you put stickers all over the table?
L: yeah...
M: did you know that we don't put stickers on the table?
L: yeah...I just wanted to.
M: hm.
As I get ready to get upset, I reign it in.
M: yeah...just like I ate a tray of cookies today. I just wanted to. Are we even now?
L: yeah...it's okay mommy.
