I'm not completely dumb.

Today Andrew taught me how to resize pictures. Apparently 2000x3000 pictures will make Blogger run so slow that you give up on picture posts over and over. Turns out that resizing them makes Blogger very cooperative. Who knew?? So here's my doggone picture post. As it happens, Andrew also taught me how to work my can opener today.

Well, we moved in to the new house about two weeks ago. It was hot, hot, hot! Andrew's Mama was here and boy, was that nice! She always pops in at just the right time. I was able to nurse the baby and get some rest in the middle of our very, very busy moving week, which was a huge blessing for a still-recovering post-partum looney.

Moving Weekend! As soon as the ink was dry on those papers, we were out the door getting things from one house to the other.

 Thrilling! Love that green paint!

The happy homeowners - the smiles were much bigger just before the plumbing went haywire, but life is good no matter what!

The girls decorating the sign that Alison made for the house - you'll note the exceptional red mulch and plastic green grass in the front beds- believe me, that was one of the very first things we tackled around here! We have one side all done, and we're working on the other - pictures coming soon!

The living room, our first night. Stuff everything, but not as bad as....

The kitchen. Gasp.

Claire and I spend a little time outside early in the morning after our first night at the house. There is nothing nicer than getting outside first thing to putter around and watch the earlybird golfers. Claire is loving her outdoor naps!

The yard.

Everything really is bigger in Texas. Especially the bugs. Gag.

Alison and Lucy playing a game - having Alison here during moving week turned out to be the biggest blessing we could have imagined! She kept the girls busy, busy, busy! They were running in and out of the house, doing arts and crafts, snacking on whatever they could find, watching movies and generally making mischief, but it was so nice to have an extra set of eyes while everything was chaotic.

I think our favorite surprise in Texas was the geckos. They are just so stinking cute! We love finding them out on the patio or in the garage, skittering around. Adorable.

Mama and Claire on Sunday afternoon.

Oh, these cute girls! Here they are running around in the yard, collecting golf balls.

Sweet Baby Claire!

Golf Balls!

A little fun in the sprinkler. It's usually intermingled with golf ball hunting. Run through the sprinkler, run to the edge of the yard. Run through the sprinkler, run to the edge of the yard. Repeat. Over and over.

Little girls in the yard - Lilly came to visit last week and I'm pretty sure these girls were in their swimsuits all week long!

Sweet Lucy, having some fun in the sun.
