MAY DAY! MAY DAY!

The first of May. Golly but I love May. This time last week we had just found out that Baby #5 is on the way. This time last month we had just adopted a really stupid dog. This time last year we were about to meet the result of our third successful pregnancy.

To say I'm still a little shocked over the impending birth of another baby would be putting it mildly. I think some people may still mistakenly assume that this is a case of failed Natural Family Planning. I assure you, this wasn't the case. While we think NFP is a fantastic idea for families the world over, we really wouldn't know the first thing about it. While we sort of understand the mechanics, our commitment to charting cycles and fertile signs is never very strong when we could just do what we want and have cute babies. We tend to use Natural Family Perfection instead. We assume that God knows our hearts, our bodies and our abilities and will bless us accordingly. I asked Andrew tonight if we should take an NFP class before this one is born. He looked at me with three heads and said, "Why?!?!?!"

More later.

You two are adorable, I love you! :) I think you might surpass us in number one day... hahahaha! ;) we are so excited and happy about this newest little angel, God always provides and give us the best gifts. We did really enjoy our postpartum NFP class (which was like, 2 hrs on a Sunday) and learned a lot, but it's not really necessary unless you are actually attempting to postpone awhile. (We were making sure to do that after Ben, just for time for my body to heal.) Anyway you can always decide about that later and take the class just before or after the baby arrives if you wanted a "refresher" :) we love you guys!! This is the best Christmas present ever- for the whole family!!!! haha!
