Well, she may not have many words right now, but Lucy has come up with her firs phrase! After weeks of rigorous conditioning and greeting Daddy after work, she now says "Hi Dad!"
However, this phrase is not limited to salutations. "Hi Dad" does not mean, "Hey, great to see you again." It means, "Thank God you're here!"
When Lucy gets in trouble for touching things she's not supposed to touch, she immediately wails, "Hiiiiiii Daaaaaadddd!!" in the hopes that Daddy will waltz through the door and save her from her evil mother. "Hi Dad" is also reserved for intense pain, like when she shut her fingers in the door last week.
But don't think she only communicates with Daddy! No, no....she has learned that a slap in the face will always get my attention.
