Friends, we're in a state of change. We've known about this since last August but didn't want to share speculation, so we've stayed quiet.
Today, Andrew's company announced a major restructure. In addition to the chaos it creates, we're 99% confident that the facility Andrew is currently working at will be announced as sold and packed up very soon.
Why would we move to Texas knowing it was almost positively temporary? Well, it's a fabulous experience for Andrew to learn to lead a group of employees facing unemployment. Closing a facility is never fun for anyone, but learning to do it right and knowing how it's done are a great asset for anyone in the business world. Andrew's promotion, while unexpected, was a stellar promotion for his age and time with the company, so we have no complaints or regrets.
That said, we're in a pickle. There are fewer spots for a director than there are for a specialist. Obviously. We're holding out hope that the company and Andrew's superiors will find a place for him. We assume that things will start to move much faster now that the company is making so many rapid changes. We need prayers for peace, for resources and for guidance. Andrew does a wonderful job of listening to his heart where our family is concerned, but these are the times that we both feel like we're spinning in circles.
It's so hard to plan for what you know is coming when you don't know the rest of the picture. We love Texas so much and are having a really wonderful time, but it sort of feels like a long vacation at the moment. We'd love to stay here, but the company's availabilities and opportunities will really dictate what happens from here.
I'm just trying to stay patient, calm and distracted. It'll work out, right? It always does.
If you happen to remember us in your prayers, we'd sure appreciate it. We'll keep you updated as things start to progress more.

It's always so scary to not really know what the future holds, but we know it's all in God's hands... YES, it'll all work out- you know He always provides! We'll be praying for sure, you can count on it. We love you all!!!
