Your DAD likes cake like brownies....that is how we usually make them. I actually now prefer them this way.
I'll have to give the recipe a chance though....chocolate is chocolate!

the life of a grad student is sad. i am lacking three (four if you count the nuts) ingredients. sigh. i must agree that cakey brownies are foul misrepresentations of the chocolatey manna that is a true brownie.
At our home we go for the cake like brownie...a brownie is a brownie is a brownie!
What is a "true" brownie anyway? Just your opinion anyway!
Again I must say, chocolate is chocolate!
