So, Andrew and Lucy are in bed and I'm watching the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular. Craig Ferguson is hosting, which is odd because he's Scottish. Oh well, melting pot and all that.
Lucy has been sleeping since 5pm. It's 10 now. Why can't she manage to do these 5 hour stretches at night?! She's going to get up and she's going to be rarin' to go. All Andrew and I wanted to do was snuggle tonight, and that's definitely out the window. Little turkey. If we go to bed, she'll be up and ready to play as soon as we start to fall asleep, so it's better to just stay up and wait for her. And if we all go to bed at 8, we'll all be up at 4, which makes it even worse. There is nothing worse than paid programming and hours to go til the start of business. What makes it even WORSE is that I have a dentist appointment at 8:30am. Sigh.
We went out to lunch at the Crabby Pig with the Twiggs today. That was very nice! We spent the rest of the day getting ready for camping, relaxing around the house and playing with the kid. Tomorrow we leave around 1:30 for the campground, and we're SO excited! We love camping. Andrew took Thursday off, and he had Friday off already, so we're going to be gone til Sunday, which is so exciting. That's a lot of time off to spend with his girls! I will post pics when we get home on Sunday! Maybe Lu will sleep long enough for me to post a few tonight. We shall see!
