When the house gets cold...the cold get weatherproofing.

This weekend is weatherproofing weekend! As luck would have it, we found a wonderful, large, airy home with enough space for as many children and pets as we'd like. Well, a wonderful, large, airy home in the summer becomes a big, drafty beast of burden when the winter winds arrive. Not cool. Well, very cool. As I type this, Andrew is working on the drafts under the kitchen sink. That one's particularly bad. We've installed plastic on the office windows, insulated the bottom of the kitchen counters, insulated under the baseboard in the office, installed plastic on the den window, installed a broomsweep on the basement door and the list goes on. After Andrew finishes the latches on the cabinets, I have to go back to my counter-insulating task. Not fun.
